Here, I would like to present a short overview of the process of creating key art for this production, which I had the pleasure to be part of thanks to an invitation from the amazing team at The Hungry Beast.
We based our work on a concept provided by the client and also worked with in-game models. The amount of work needed to bring them to final quality was enormous, but we managed to get there in the end. Additional sculpting and texture overpaint were crucial on the 3D side, but the most important stages were compositing and overpainting of the entire artwork - I might be biased here, since I was responsible for that part!
Apart from post-production work, I also created some VFX in Houdini, including the burning bow, which helped elevate the piece above the average level.
